It's within the walking distance from the office... so I am obliged to try it.

I was on 6th floor, the layout was quite spacious comparing to similar restaurants, but nothing impressive.

Biz lunch set: with 32RMB I got one Portuguese chicken curry with rice, hot milk tea, egg tart and day soup, which was quite cheap...of course usually we get only what we paid for :-)
- soup was gluey with some rare slices of vege
- something was wrong with the taste of milk tea that I have tried hard to identify in vain?
- the curry was of more chicken meat than potatoes... however, they put so many slices of Chinese sausage in it??? which was weird to me
- egg tart was too sweet, and they must have used some chemical ingredients instead of the natural ones

From the menu, you can find Macau, HK, Sichuan and Shanghai style choices... did they try to catch the fashionable "fusion" style or they simply didn't know how to position themselves? (I vote for the latter answer)

we went here to fill the stomach before a very late dinner appointment, which was just next door to our hotel...
took only the dessert considering the big dinner waiting ahead, which was too sweet...

no decor, and the menu was worn out and oily, which probably could emphasize the "old" in their name? hehe

on the other hand, there is nothing wrong about this kind of street side small places... I would never call it cozy, but it's giving people some "old days" feelings...

just happened to walk by, and stopped to see how they make the steamed vermicelli roll... it was fun and much simpler than I thought..
they just pour all material and ingredient on a piece of pledget and steam it for a short while... then roll it and done!

I was not hungry but had heard the fame of this place before... so ordered a mushroom one (small portion at 3.50RMB!! hehe)... the taste was quite ok.

and it is another "old days" style place, just like the little station at the end of the lanes on YunNan Rd more than 20 years ago... (getting old?)全文
